we are taking these, if you please

been making this sesame-citrus dressing that i like a lot. it goes something like:

1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon untoasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
2 tablespoons orange juice
juice of half a lemon
half a tablespoon miso (white? i guess. it's light brown)
splash of soy sauce (tamari, shoyu, i haven't picked one)
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

hope i'm not forgetting anything. the measurements are pretty approximate. i usually just kind of eyeball it, put it all in a recycled dressing jar, using a funnel (aka greatest invention ever), and shake. pour it on salad made from spring mix or spinach from the shaw & blackstone farmer's market with sprouts and a buncha cucumber, tomato, asian pears and whatever else. sehr gut.

i don't like my salad dressings too oily.

the members of dios (malos) tipped me to the sweet sounds of miguel mendez. i haven't come across his site (or maybe i did and forgot) but i managed to yank an mp3 from stereogum. it's called drinking beer and i love it a lot. apparently miguel wrote "you've got me all wrong" from the first dios album, which is also a lovable song.
